Santa Dash 5k

To keep me focused on my running and stop me quitting I signed up for a 5k run. Today is the day! It's a Santa Dash for Myton Hospice. Everybody has to dress up as Santa so Coventry War Memorial Park is a sea of red coats!

I'm currently waiting to start! It's quite a small event and I'm probably one of the few people here who wears bigger than a size 10 and who doesn't run miles every day! Feeling more than a little out of my depth but I'm determined to do it!

And next year I will fit into the "one size fits all" costume! After all you don't very often see fat runners! That's what I keep telling myself anyway! When I get home I am signing up for a 10k I think for the middle of next year! Love my running now but today has made me realise I still have a way to go!
