Meet Moose

Cookie gets a lot of features and shoutouts on this blip, so what more than to include somethingsomeone she holds very dear?

We don't really have a name for it/him, so we just call him Moose. This squeaky fabric toy has been with us since we first adopted Cookie nearly two years ago. You can see he is worn, tattered, and discolored. His squeaker is surprisingly intact, but his tags and his appendages are ripped or frayed. Our brindle pup loves to play rough with her toys; we guesstimate the lifespan of a new toy to be two to three weeks--a month at most. We are very surprised Moose has lasted this long. He seems so small and fragile compared to the "indestructible" "sure-tuff" ropes, abstract shapes, animals, etc. we have tried. Once the size of Cookie, he is now only the size of her head.

I'd like to think Cookie has a soft spot for Moose somewhere in her heart. He became family when she did, so maybe she feels a kinship with him. If Cookie could speak, I swear she probably screams, "Moooooooooose!!" every time I throw him across the room to play fetch. Come to think of it, I suppose I have a soft spot for him too.
