At Ross: Freedom.....x

This little travelling child, sits in her living wagon. She's the essence of a free child, well at least in the small attached conventions of the modern world. Her family, are true travellers. I know these people. These are people I understand. Some may call them New Age Travellers, or perhaps people living off grid with horses, but I dont think there is any definition for anyone who chooses just to live with freedom as their priority. They are living the entire opposite to the conventional world. It would be easy to get a job, rent a house and live. Choosing this life is more challenging choice. The choice for freedom has never been an easy one.

The irony is, that they have stopped on a busy roundabout. In fact some of the horses are tethered on the roundabout itself. The location is a statement in itself. The speed and volume of the traffic, versus the static life within.

"People in those cars are running out of time, they all race against time, the difference is, that we have time" says one of the travellers. I am looking forward to documenting this family for the next few weeks. Its the lack of communication that causes segregation, indifference and intolerance. This family hear and see it all on this roundabout. People hoot their horns as we talk.
