Tom - Today's Lecturer

Tom spent the day at Edinburgh University giving a group of us a critical history of Magnum Photography. Considering conflict and commerce, loss and leisure, his lectures looked at questions of 'documentary' versus 'art' and what gives photos their meaning and importance.

The outcome was both an entertaining day and a stimulus to do more reading on photographic culture.........I remain surprised where Blip takes me !
