50 biking Brucies give a tribute to Sir Bruce before this evening's Strictly Come Dancing show. Although Sir Bruce himself isn't on tonight.

Every year in early December we have a guided ride through London, our leader pointing out various fascinating pieces of history en route. it is a chance for a reunion with chums who we may not have seen all year.

Today, among other things, we gazed at a section of roadway paved with wooden cobbles. In Lincolns Inn Court the damage caused by bombs dropped by the Germans in the 1st WW was pointed out by Ron.

Half way round we stopped for breakfast at the Island Café in Southwark Bridge Road. A brilliant greasy spoon which I can highly recommend, it is built around a plane tree and with a girder railway bridge above it looks like it should be in Paris.

Then on through the City and Docklands where we paused for this picture.
