Red Carpet

I love poinsettias, not only do they remind me of Christmas but they were the first plant I managed not to kill off in the house.

I'm not a bad outdoor gardener but my house plant skills are interesting to say the least. Anyway many years ago I got my first of these fabulous plants and it lived happily in my flat for three years.

I decided it couldn't have liked the country much, because if died on the way to our new house in East Lothian.

Glorious like this as a Christmas red carpet though.
