A little Hedgehog.

We had our Christmas social for the Golf Club today. Played a game of Ambrose first, then had a BBQ tea at the club rooms late this afternoon. We spotted this hedgehog outside, making its way very, very slowly across the grass. I said to PJ, "There's todays blip!" and here it is. I have never been that close to a hedgehog before and was surprised it didn't roll itself up into a ball.
We had disturbed sleep last night as Gypsy kept yapping and whinning. Went out and checked her a couple of times, finally at 5.00am, PJ went and got her & brought her up to the house. (she has a kennel about 30 metres from the house) and we put her into the old wood box with Poppy, as that is where Poppy sleeps at night. Never heard another sound out of either of them until I let them out after 8.00am.
We will have to built another wood box for the winter or else make something for Poppy to sleep in.
