First day in Japan! The start of deep and beautiful relationship. Oh Japan, how I miss you.

About to catch a bullet train from Osaka to Tokyo. It reaches 200 mph. But the're looking into ways to make it 220 mph. All while the UK contains to procrastinate about starting to build what the Japanese built in 1958.

It's pretty much the same story for everything from internet connections to toilet seats. How can the UK hold its head high in international diplomatic circles when we doesn't even have loo that warm themselves. Now that's progress and disconcertingly easy to get used too. I miss you Japan (and your noodles).
