Dunster Castle Christmas Tree

Group WI had arranged trip to Dunster by candlelight, but we, husband and I decided we would go after Friday Cafe as it was such a lovely day. We travelled via Watchet, where the bank only opens 9.15 -12.30, perfect hours for a local. I think my husband thought he might go back to work for those hours. Then we drove to Minehead to get the park and ride except that I joined the queue for Butlins adult weekend; whatever that is! This was parallel with the park and ride queue, all confusing. Well what to you do I saw a queue and joined it?
However we got to Dunster and had an enjoyable evening wandering around shops selling gifts etc and lots of stalls selling drinks and food. There was a lantern procession and the Castle was open with carols being sung and more mulled wine. Shame I was driving home really. Met a few people we knew, a generally good start to Christmas.
