3D thinking

One of eldest's school friends came for tea this evening. He challenged me to finish the Rubik's cube that has been sitting around for house for ages. I managed to do a single side before he left, which seemed to satisfy his challenge. However, to my mind, this was a definite 'Fail'.

I have been trying on and off this evening and have come to the conclusion that my brain cannot compute this multi-dimensional puzzle. I finished a side and have 'T''s in all of the correct colours on the adjoining sides, but I wouldn't even know where to go now without messing up what I have done so far.

The Blip is me (even though it looks nothing like me!) with [an uncompleted] Rubik's on my mind.
