End of a great day.

Eoghan took his last remaining holiday day remaining before Christmas and surprised me with a completely unexpected night away with champagne and truffles at Trigony House Hotel near Dumfries. One of our favourite places where they take dogs. Thus time there is a pointer, a retriever , a Scottish terrier , an Airedale , something very hairy and Big D. He's the handsomest and best ... Obviously. We have visited our favourite haunts on the way south , visited our favourite shops SPENT a GREAT deal of money and REALLY ENJOYED ourselves. Mum in respite for two nights. (Eoghan got me to arrange this on the premise I could accompany him on a work jaunt )and is thrilled cos it's their big Christmas party when she's there. The staff told me not to bother picking her up till late evening rather than the afternoon!! Only too happy to oblige !Trigony house is an old country estate with walks through the woods for Dileas and log fires fantastic food and far too much wine for me and the other half. The bed is enormous! Dileas decided to honour us with his presence and frankly we don't have the energy or inclination to refuse! As you can see , Eoghan is sound asleep as is big D. I'm having a cup of tea sitting on the chaise Longueuil ( sorry but that's what predictive tx is calling it !) and then I'm joining them in nod. Breakfast is only 10 hours away. !!!!!!!!!!!! Xx
