A wee bit splooshy
No 1 Barrier, this morning around 9.30am.
Living in the linked South Isles you get a bit complacent about what constitutes the Adverse weather conditions that we are warned by the sign not to cross in.
You get used to when to just switch on the wipers and when you're best just not to bother crossing. In these conditions and at a fairly low tide, it's quite fun to drive across but it doesn't take much for the fun to turn to... Ooops, bad idea.
I have seen tourists turn back when locals think nothing of crossing. Or worse - you find a tourist on one of the islands between causeways in a quivering heap because they attempted to cross without realising what was about to hit them.
Today though, it was just a wee bit splooshy and the sunlight just added a touch of drama. Note that concealed by the spray in front of the red bus is a blue bus, you might just make it out if you look in big.
Apologies for the quality of the shot, I was trying not to fall into the sea.
