1000 Musicians

Young musicians from many of the indigenous villages around Oaxaca gathered for an enormous band concert that was held in the Danza (plaza around the corner from us). A man standing next to me told me there were 1000 musicians. I enjoyed watching for awhile then went home and listened to the remaining songs while sitting on our porch, wine in hand.

Fireworks almost completed the wonderful evening, but there was one encore, then the musicians continued... just playing their own music. They were terrific.
