Hot water

We had no running hot water today and repairs scheduled for tomorrow so we headed south to meet the lovely Leggett family for fresh air, the most beautiful low light, a scrumptious lunch, as much conversation as four children would allow, a freezing walk on Coldingham Sands and a dark drive home. After tea, it took a long time to fill these sinks precariously with pans of hot water and two little people beneath my feet and as always, they provide a different, valuable perspective. While I was cross at the lack of running hot water and lack of husband to grumble to, they thought it was very exciting and great fun to get bathed in the sinks!
