At home: Paper ......x

These flower heads are stood in a jam jar on top of our printer. I wonder if they are of chinese decent, I dont know their name or origin. I am sure someone out knows....

Its ironic that such an oriental papery form sits next to the paper printer. Paper was after all, invented in china by Cai Lun in 105 AD. Cai Lun not only greatly improved the papermaking technique, but also made it possible to use a variety of materials, such as tree bark, hemp, and rags.

I love forms like these, that they went onto invent something else. How many inventions came from the natural form? Almost everything?, I hazard a guess. x
