What is the best camera?
The one you have with you at the time - as I learnt this morning.
I accidentally went out without a camera - I only had my iPhone. Within a few minutes the sky exploded into a complete panoply of colours. Damn and drat…..
Too far from home to hope to get back and get a camera I had to resort to the phone camera - I wasn't expecting too much. But, with a bit of work, I managed to recover some of the feeling that I felt looking into the heart of the sunrise. Not brilliant quality but beggars can't be choosers as my dad would say.
Of course, the ready sky ay night saying springs to mind - within an hour or so it's blowing a hoolie - at the top of the hill in Daventry it was a great deal worse than at lower levels. The day however seems to have passed without too much damage from the wind for most, although part of Jonathan's school had to be shut when tiles blew off the old part, but panels flew off the new sixth form block into the main road outside causing traffic chaos.
We all hold our breathe for those whose property is at risk from the sea tonight. Some being interviewed on the tv believe they can fight it - have they not seen the power of the sea from the tsunami?
