... behind a mountain.
At this time of the year the sun is staying low on the horizon and does not shine over the mountain tops in some places in the north of Iceland. The 21st of December has the longest night and shortest day. In Icelandic we call it - "Vetrarsólstöður". This photo is taken at 1:38 PM.
