Charity lunch

The trustees for the charity shop take all the volunteers out for a Christmas meal. It is a chance to see the volunteers who work on different days to your own. The crackers were pulled. the mottos were groaned at, the starter had been consumed and then I remembered that I had intended to take a blip at the beginning! This dish was followed by 'Eton Mess'
Unable to indulge in wine because now on some anti-biotics for a mild infection - but the water was good!
Went to see 'Saving Mr Banks' last night and thought that Emma Thompson was superb (and who can not like Tom Hanks!)
Felt a bit like Mary Poppins walking back to the car park today as there was a gale force wind and expected to be whisked in the air at any moment!
