Days of our lives..
For no reason other than that it was there, I pootled down to the river. The mornings traffic had frustrated me. I don't understand why people have to drive so bloody slowly...38 in 60 zone....Gggrrrrrrr! On the country roads by me it's almost impossible to overtake, it does lead to some terrible driving.
Hence, my sitting on the river bank in the pitch of a winters morning, the wind blowing a bitter lament and casting leaves hither and thither. Slowly the sky began to lighten and angels gently sung from a coppice nearby, such is natures way, there is wonder in it all. A glorious morn dazzled my eyes and in the most tenderest of caresses brought a tear to rest upon my cheek.
As always, I am grateful for my life, for the chance to witness such things, to have sense enough to see them, to live, to breathe, to be here and now.
(Dedicated to a friends Dad, for at last his pain is over)
