Bridge Expansion in Progress

One of the floating bridges that goes across the fresh waters of Lake Washington--the 520 bridge is being expanded so more traffic can flow smoothly from one side to the other. Personally I would have much preferred expansion of light rail---of other forms of mass transit rather than providing more ability for more and more cars to do the transporting. Here, while stuck in traffic due to a stalled car, I took a quick shot of some of the ongoing work. Here's a link to the DOT project.
