Sun worship.

I have become a sun worshipper the last few weeks of cold. We've been working at getting roofs on some outbuildings so when everything is covered in frost it's hard to work...safely.
At around 9 am the sun comes up over the ridge and hits the building. Gradually mittens and layers of clothing come off and everything is just hunky dory. Then around 3 pm that lovely sun dips behind the west ridge and slowly mittens and layers go back on in the reverse order.

I can understand the "Sun god" in some civilizations. I think with all our modern ways of living and keeping warm a large segment of our society is out of touch with the sun and our connection to it.
