Droont Rat
Sunday Nights were always bath night for us 'back in the day', but for Guinea Pigs it's apparently Monday's that they should run away and hide on.
Casper doesn't particularly like bath nights, but he's certainly better than he used to be. Had to laugh as Heather struggled to contain him in his basin in the middle of the kitchen floor, as she struggled to hold him in and complained how we didn't understand how difficult it was to bath such a small wriggly thing. Mrs Delphwynd and I just smiled as we both remembered bath time with Heather in a similar plastic bath, especially the 'mis-shapes' incident...
Mis-shapes (I think that's what they were called) were a chocolate covered confectionery that, well, looked rather unpleasantly like small lumps of something you'd find deposited in a child's pampers. I think I may have traumatised Heather when a couple of these 'accidentally' made their way into her bath one evening. Her face was a picture as she tried to frantically scramble out of the bath as the small brown lumps bobbed through the water towards her. It really freaked out Mrs Delphwynd though when she came through after hearing the screams, and I picked one of them out of the water and bit into it...
The things you did to entertain yourself when you had little or no social life, eh?
