That Had To Hurt

I have long considered myself something of a sports shooter -not because I am particularly good at it, but because I enjoy it so much. I will take any opportunity to go to a game or match or meet with my camera and shoot to my heart's content. The big three American sports - football, basketball and baseball - hold little interest for me, but put me on a soccer pitch or beach court and I am in heaven. Tonight I was able to attend the finals of our neighbor's fútbol league with a fellow photographer from the complex. It was fun to talk about the action and compare our captures. He is longtime player and was able to anticipate the action well, but I had the superior equipment and have spent more time behind the lens. In the end, of the 250 or so shots I took, I kept 22, but thought this full contact shot the best of the bunch. I don't remember the guy in blue limping off the field, but then I was probably on to the next shot anyway.
