Mourne Mountain Marathon Day 1

Some months ago I persuaded a friend to enter the Mourne Mountain Marathon with me. Today was day one of the two day event. Although we found it strenuous, it was great fun and we saw some excellent scenery.

The picture shows a couple of our fellow competitors climbing onto the Mourne Wall which would provide faster progress across the moorland.
