HAS THE WORLD GONE MAD?

After I had been to school today I went out to do a little more shopping and happened to see this display in a local store.

Really? Cadbury's Creme Easter eggs even BEFORE Christmas??

How sad that we cannot enjoy one season of the year before being encouraged to buy for another and don't even get me started on the fact that we can buy Hot Cross Buns all year now!

Of course, as Christians, Easter is very important and this is captured in the song "Thorns in the Straw" by Graham Kendrick, the chorus of which says:

And did she see there
In the straw by His head
A thorn?
And did she smell myrrh
In the air on that starry night?
And did she hear angels sing
Not so far away
Till at last the sun rose blood-red
In the morning sky?


I pray you will all "enjoy" Advent and Christmas and then think about Easter in the New Year.
