Holding back

The latest in the series tagged garden gates, this one from the way up towards my garden rather than in the shaded lane. The sun was full on it this morning, and we had the warmest day for some time - around 15 deg.
This gate always looks to me as if it's only just holding the pile of stone behind it. It used to be an entrance, with steps behind it, but the garden has been amalgamated with another one so it's not used any more.
