A bird in the hand....

A bird in the hand.....

This female chaffinch (I think) flew into our conservatory this morning and it paid the penalty of all who enter these premises.

I caught it gently, photographed it and released it back into the cold, wide world.

It is not easy holding a bird in one hand and the camera in the other, unable to change any settings on an unfamiliar camera.
