A slice of Lesley's life

Indulgent lunch

Barely slept a wink and up stupidly early to spend the maximum amount of time worrying preparing for my morning work delivery. All that worrying preparing paid off and the new and exciting technology did all it was supposed to do to allow me to connect to more than 30 people in about 12 countries across timezones from here to Australia. I do this a lot but the difference today was that I could pretty much see everyone and, whilst it presented some challenges logistically, it made a big difference in terms of interacting with people I had never met, and them interacting with each other even if they hadn't met in person.

Then dash to school to collect Anna and take her for her singing exam which she skipped out of so was enjoyable at least. Back to school for her and home for me. And lunch. Which I have indulgently eaten on my bed reading the paper. And now I will be having a nap before finishing off another project.

Tonight is book club and if I haven't mentioned it before then I highly recommend The Rosie Project as a light-hearted, quick, hilariously funny*, lovely book.

Lesley x

*it made me belly- laugh out loud but obviously very subjective so no complaints please!
