Summer in Winter

We've got a new and very welcome addition to the living room, a Red Admiral butterfly.

I took this picture as he was clinging to the curtain with light streaming through the window whilst I was watching George Clooney in The America, which by the way is great.
It seemed apt as George plays a lover of butterflies with one tattooed on his back.

I have now been informed (reliably) by Dannys Teddy that it isn't actually a Red Admiral but a Small Tortoiseshell.
