A frosty November morning on the Shropshire Union
We woke to a beautiful frosty late Autumn morning after our first night out on our narrowboat Waterlily. After lighting the woodburner I left my partner sawing more wood to keep us warm for the day and dressed up with lots of layers took our dog Murphy for a walk up the tow path. Frosty leaves were dropping around us, breath was freezing and the ground crunching under foot. On returning from the walk on the final bend I saw this scene: the sun rising above the layer of early morning mistiness and perfect reflections on the still water. 'Waterlily' in the distance with a flume of welcoming smoke coming from the chimney.
