Milano
Louis Adam n doodle have gone to Milan to celebrate mother in laws 60th birthday
I went back to the drs for a follow up appointment. Had to have a bit of a mariah cary moment and pull out the diva big guns. Seemed to have the desired effect as she sent me straight after to hospital for investigative blood tests. I'm hoping the entry she put I'm her diary for 23rd march next year isn't the date she intends to start referring me to gynaecologist. I will wait for test results next week then ask for referral to private gyno.
The unbelievable happened at the hospital - there was no queue for the blood test dept. I had worried when I picked up number 61 and sat with the masses. Couldn't believe it when they called my number first you would have thought I had won at the bingo. Picked up some spare hearing aid batteries whilst I was there.
Called in at aldi on the way back as had a craving for nuts. Husband walked down to me there and I drove him across town to the bowlers arms for a pre races breakfast. It's Hennessy weekend so the traffic was quite bad on the way back.
I was feeling a bit down when I got home so grabbed the boys and went for bracing walk in the cold fresh air. Arrived home pink cheeked just in time for Catherine to arrive for a brew.
Spent the afternoon on the sofa with a big log fire lit. I rarely sit and relax like this - this new fire is going to be a big factor in a few more relaxing afternoons like this just what the Dr ordered. Well ok what the husband ordered. It would appear he's far better than a Dr.
Very disappointed in drs these days. It's all about the budget and not going over your 6 minute appointment time allocation. Well they were 30 minutes late starting and I was the first appointment of the day, then I had to fight to get the matter taken further dear oh dear sat in their little rooms on their 100k salaries playing god with their budgets. The world has changed.
Walked down to meet husband and collect his car from the office where he had left it to have a lift from me.
Curry for tea. It's such a fab treat to not have to think about cooking. I love weekend curries. In bed by 9.30. Big sleeps
