Ladies and gentlemen......

The best part of being a public address announcer has to be the opportunity to announce a piece of history.

With his Mum and Dad watching, and after checking with the statisticians, I made the following announcement:

"The scorer of the third goal, and the youngest player to score a competitive goal for AFC Fylde:
Joe Mullen."

This was immediately followed by his Mum saying, "About bloody time!"

A very good night for this 16 year old making his first start for the first team.
