Bert

I went to the French group this morning, after which we went to the local cafe where I had a hot chocolate and a mince pie - it was lovely! I then got the bus into town as I went to do some Christmas shopping.

I stopped off first to meet blip buddy Retro at the Royal Pavilion Gardens cafe where we had a mug of hot soup. No sooner as we'd sat down than I saw Majicmoments walking past, so I shouted him over and invited him to join us. Retro got some nuts from the cafe to attract the squirrels which as you can see from his blip the other day are quite tame. However, whilst there were a few squirrels around today they were very busy digging up nuts they'd previously hidden, but Bert finally made an appearance, and after numerous attempts I finally persuaded him to come and get some nuts. He climbed up my legs and sat on my knee, then ran off with the nut, but he was soon back for more.

I got ready with the camera and after a few botched attempts I managed to get this shot of him on my knee, and you can see Retro's blip of me here. He kept returning to my knee until all the nuts had gone and then I went off to do my shopping. I managed to get most of what I hot on my list, and then had a quick look round the little Christmas market - it's not quite like the Belgian markets, but there was a Belgian waffle stall!
