Rainy Weather Stop
There is much fun to be had even in the rain at Disneyland. We decided on an indoor stop with soft and dry seats after getting a little wet on the rides. Here we are at an interactive show. Our grand daughter was chosen to be one of the participants. We all felt so proud of her Turtle Talk with Crush.
Using his high-tech “hydrophone,” Crush communicated directly with the little dudes and dudettes. In the Disney Animation building you take a seat in front of the large window. As the lights dim, the viewers called out for Crush and watched as he swam up to the underwater mic and greeted them. Participants picked his brain about sea life, his friends from Disney•Pixar’s Finding Nemo, his favorite food, life in general—it’s totally up to them! He even taught how to talk turtle!
Each interactive show uses state-of-the-art computer-graphic imagery and is unique, improvised and a barrel of laughs—definitely a good time for little dudes of all ages, and the parentals as well. Sweet!
Pixar Animation Studios is an American computer animation film studio. Pixar began in 1979 as the Graphics Group, part of the computer division of Lucasfilm before its spin-out as a corporation in 1986 with funding by Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Jobs, who became its majority shareholder. The Walt Disney Company bought Pixar in 2006 at a valuation of $7.4 billion, a transaction which made Jobs Disney's largest shareholder.
The kids were delighted with this indoor rest stop and "totally" enjoyed it! (Even Grandma learned a little turtle-talk!)
