The nets of lights are up in Newcastle, covering all the different shapes. Grey's monument stands out with the dome of Monument Mall behind and a large stand at the bottom with the blue canvas roof. This is from Holland, and is selling flowers ,shrubs ,bulbs and Christmas trees.
There was a lovely atmosphere in Newcastle this morning.
