ENJOYING THE SUNSHINE

Of all the birds around here this winter, the American Goldfinch has, by far, the largest number in the flock. The males seemed to have toned down a bit so they’re not as easily distinguishable from the females, but this one still has a definite touch of gold to his throat. He looked so pretty in the sunshine today. Yes, sunshine! It was a beautiful day - but not for long with the rain, then snow and extra cold temps predicted for the next few days. The squirrels were especially active today, but I’ve blipped them quite often lately, so it’s Mr. Goldfinch for today.
