Not the one I wanted to blip
Checking out Tate Britain today after its recent renovations.
A group of primary school kids were there for a workshop wondering around exhibits which seem strange for many. I found out they were doing a project on 'Protest' and had looked at various pieces in the gallery.
So when it cam to the workshop 'doing' bit, they were asked what they wanted to do. And, of course, they said they wanted to protest. They had gone round the gallery and everyone had old them 'Not to Touch' and they wanted to protest against that.
So they made themselves some banners : 'We Want to Touch' and "Don't Shout at Us" and marched around the gallery. It was wonderful. I hope their protest was successful.
I did ask to take a photo but, because permission had not been sought from parents/guardians, it was not possible.
So the Chapman Bros take on the influence of global corporates will have to do.
