I wasn't going to do this..

..but needs must!!

Cleaned the labels of some wine bottles (why are they stuck on so well?) ready for bottling some demijohns..

It's been grey again, with occasional sheets of drizzle, but mild. Decided to clean the hens out, it had built up a bit. Got A's tractor, found the back of the transport box, and pins to hold it in place. Amazing how parts get scattered!

Reversed up to the hen house and shovelled. Then washed, and brushed, and rinsed. Very happy hens tonight. Drove down the road with a box full of manure, and emptied on the veg patch. This will get mixed with seaweed and the compost bins and spread on next years tattie patch. I'll grow salads there too..

As part of the four year rotation, in the following year it will have legumes, peas and beans, which will build up the nitrogen content absorbed by bacteria in the root nodules. Year three will be brassicas, and year four will grow rootcrops. Then back to the seaweed and manure.. I have four patches like this in differnt parts of the rotation..

I waffle. Stuck for a blip, this is my Jackie Leven CD collection. He was quite a prolific artist, releasing one or two CD's a year fromthe mid 90's until his death. There a couple of CD singles in there, and half a dozen "Fan club" only issues, and some promo's..

These CD's get played a lot..
