Santas on the Run

Due to a tweak to my Achilles then not being sure if it was safe during the first trimester, I haven't been running for months. And I've really missed it. Physio sorted my ankle and midwife advised that jogging was ok but I've still been nervous to try. Then a friend suggested doing a 3km fun run dressed as Santa so I decided to go for it. And it was ace. They all agreed to run at my pace so off we set in full Santa suits along with 100 or so others. And I did it - way slower than in the past and had a little walk when my growing belly felt a bit pulled - but was so good to be out in the fresh air getting some exercise. Plan is now to do the 5km Parkrun every Sat - even if I'm waddling it by the end. Will let you know how I get on.

Other than that carried on getting the house straight, made the fella some space in the wardrobe, bought my first item of maternity clothing and visited a good friend and told her my news. She was soooo excited and has already offered to babysit. Will definitely take her up on that.
