Last day in Italy. Spent the morning exploring Brunate, where we stayed for the past couple of nights. Turned out to be a much nicer option than Como itself (which I thought was a bit concretey). You have to take a furnicular railway to get up the very steep hillside to Brunate and we got fantastic views of the lake from our hotel room. Sadly it was a bit too hazy to see the mountains so there is our excuse to come back!! Train back to Bergamo and a humongous pizza to get us through the very late flight home. So pleased to see the pups at Mums looking very well (too well on all that farm food and Grandma sized portions!) and the pups were so pleased to see us that we ended up staying up till the wee hours cuddling them. First time we have left them and we missed them too much!
