Terminus

The bus that passes closest to our house takes us into the city centre, but if we catch it in the opposite direction it takes us to this point, Unsliven Bridge, just beyond the township of Stocksbridge, in the steep-sided valley of the River Little Don. well-known for its steelworks. The green bank in the background is the dam of Underbank Reservoir, one of the many to be found to the North and West of Sheffield. I was at a loose end today as my Photo class was cancelled, so I decided to get out of the house and check where a couple of the local buses would take me. I knew roughly where this one went, but I had no idea that the turnaround point was such an out-of-the-way spot. We are planning a walk in this area tomorrow.
