Hanover Garden Club Tree
We decorated a farm/garden themed Christmas tree as a contribution from our Garden Club to the Hanover Historical Society's Festival of Trees event. Ours is located in the barn behind the headquarter's of the Society, The Stetson House , built in the late 1600s.
I'll be a guide in the cold barn on Thursday night, 6-8 PM in my other role as an Executive Board Member of the Historical Society. There will be donated, decorated trees in all of the rooms in the Stetson House as well. Lots of local groups and businesses offered to decorate artificial trees. We'll sell raffle tickets at the door and people can drop their tickets in buckets by trees they would like to win. A local moving company has stepped up and donated a delivery truck. We're hoping it's a good fundraiser and also a new way to have people tour the house during the season. The house/museum has been rearranged and this Festival of Trees is a new twist after many years of decorated room tours at Christmas.
For the Record
This day came in cold and damp
All hands are healthy
