How did that come round so quickly?

Transferred the garden waste from the brown recycling bin to the green household waste bin this morning. That was fun. We are not allowed to put garden stuff in the green bin but the council failed to mention that they had ceased emptying the brown bins for the winter. After a couple of 'phone calls to the council, and after asking where I could fly tip the garden waste, an arrangement was made whereby we could, just this once, shovel the garden waste into the green bin. I printed out a note and G delivered them to the neighbours. There was much shovelling in our village today! What irks most is that we have just had to pay a subscription to have the brown bin emptied at all!

The cat did nothing all day except lay in his basket. Tell a fib; he turned round twice. I'd like to be a cat sometimes.
