Kinneil Estate's Heritage Day

I first visited Kinneil in July but discovered you could only go inside the house on certain days. The next open day was today which also happens to be my husbands birthday so I knew I would remember it for another visit.

My husband usually works Sundays but had taken today off so went over to see what was happening there for their Heritage Day.

We got there around 1pm and it was heaving with lots going on all over the estate. We went inside the house however I was a bit disappointed as you couldn't explore as much as the house as I had hoped. It was still good to see the paintings that has saved the whole building from getting demolished in the first place though.

We walked around the rest of the estate where there were various stalls and activities going on. The pirates above were part of the "Earl of Loudon's Regiment of Foote".

We then went for a look around Bo'ness Scottish Railway Exhibition before heading into South Queensferry for a meal at Orocco Pier.
