Visited the local garden centre today so get some cyclamen. They need a week or two to get into the christmasssy mood.

It was full on in the garden centre - a yard full of christmas trees (surely too early and surely too expensive?); potted plants galore; an outdoor lighting display of penguins, snowmen and swans(?); a band of Father Christmases (mechanical) belting out Christmas tunes and hordes of horrendous decorations.

But it was a distraction form a visit to the dentist's.
