Pirates and wasps
Went down to the pirates day at Kinneil House in Bo'ness this afternoon. What a total disappointment. Advertised as a fun afternoon for kids with "pirates" there wasn't a pirate to be seen. Bumped into quite a few people I know and they were all the same.... wondering what on earth the council had put together. Teh few things that were there; bouncy castle, climbing wall, face painting... was queued for nearly an hour and the rest seemed to be stalls and burger vans selling at inflated prices. All a bit crap really, where were the bleedin' pirates??
To cap it all we took Callum (resplendent in his pirates outfit) disappointedly back to the car, then a bloody wasp stung him on the cheek....cue a run to find a pharmacy with a brave little pirate in the back. Time for a pint I think....
I seem to have upset some people with witch like sympathies. According to Scottish legend the rowan will protect against bad witches. Don't fear, you will your friends will still be welcome in my house. I've never seen any pink rowans elsewhere, we noticed the year after we planted it it had a lable... pink rowan. Ach well still a good looking tree.
