Lost and Found

We left Ellie in charge and went Christmas shopping in Hereford. When we got back the house was strangely quiet. Ellie where is Ginger? I asked. Dunno, saw her chasing a cat in the garden a while ago came the reply.
We live down a country lane about a mile out of town. There are lots of fields of sheep. Fpr a collie cross however, Ginger is pretty good and sticks to cats. Steve looked everywhere, through field and wood. I still went to the pictures as planned and saw Gravity. Rather wish Id looked for the dog actually. Dont rate Sandra Bullock at the best of times. This was not one of those times. I thought the script was cliche ridden and quite ridiculous in parts. Also, Sandra, you would have been wearing a big nappy in space, not skimpy underwear. Hmph. It was a visually stunning film for sure but scienctifically weak.
Back to Ginger.
Steve had now been searching for three hours. I thought it was time to do my bit so I posted a photo on facebook saying she was missing and asking if anyone had seen her.
30 mins later the local vet calls with a phone number of someone who found a dog like ours.
It was Ginger! She had been found in the centre of town and these nice people had looked after her and tried to find her owner. ( makes note to get new tag for dog collar)
Vet thinks Ginger may be losing her marbles a bit at the ripe age of 12 and therefore could no longer find way home after healthy cat chase.
Alls well that ends well - except the film!
