Racing round the track

One of the items that CJ and I brought during our recent ikea trip was a road play-mat for CJ's bedroom. I had been thinking about purchasing one of these for a while, but now that we have wooden floors instead of carpet in his room, one was definitely needed.

Tonight while getting ready for bed, CJ surprised us by driving the truck perfectly around the race truck... We watched, a little stunned, as he happily raced his truck round and round the race course before parking it up and finding a different car to drive round the city streets. We hadn't really spent much time using the mat yet and had no idea that he knew what it was - isn't it amazing how some toys are just that instinctive to kids!
