Miracles of Christmas

I had a quiet day at home today,doing a bit of housework and trying to bag up the mountains of leaves that have fallen in the garden. Kiera has gone back to Uni and will be back for Christmas in a couple of weeks.
Its the first day of advent, and a Christmas 'miracle' happened in our house today. Nina was helping Rafi to do his Maths homework! They sat for ages together, it was lovely to see.Nina doesn't find maths easy (Rafi used to help her) and for her to make the effort to help Rafi was very kind.
In the foreground you can see Rafi's walking frame decorated with candy cane fairy lights, the same ones we wound round his hospital bed last Christmas.
