The silly season begins!
L and I went to Swindon for craft bits and bobs. When we got back to town we spotted the Town Hall looking very festive.
I am ashamed to say, we did put our tree up today! This is not a normal occurance on Dec 1st but Hubby is away for the week in Exeter and L was desperate to, as we had a visit from one of Santa's scout Elves. Rosie (as L has named her) will be spending the run up to Christmas with us and every evening she flies back to the North Pole to report to SC, whether L has been naughty or nice.
L has been exceptionally good today and has helped Rosie feel at home by making her a miniature cup of tea and leaving her a healthy snack (an apple) L was extremely excited to discover Rosie had had a little nibble of the apple while we had been out!
I'm not sure if this can be kept up for the next 24 days on both party's but it is so lovely to see the magic and wonder of Christmas, still alive. L still believes in fairy's etc but was wary of Santa as most of her friends had started to say they didn't believe. Rosie has reaffirmed her faith. I hope it continues for a few more years though.
Hopefully there will be photos of Rosie to follow. L isn't sure if we are allowed to take her picture as we are not allowed to touch her and she can not speak to us! I'm sure she will find a way of finding out (usually involves writing a letter and me sneaking around in the middle of the night with fairy dust!) We shall see ...
